We offer three options of training to prepare you for this season:

UMPIRING 100 – Pinto (age 7 & 8) / 8u softball games only:

This is a very basic overview of umpiring our younger games. Calling balls & strikes, fair/foul, safe/out, proper positioning, and some basic rule knowledge. We need a substantial amount of help staffing umpires at this level. Adults and Bulldog youth age 13 & up both male & female are welcome & encouraged to take this class. Umpires are paid, set their own schedule, & we supply equipment. This class is a single 1:45 min session….see schedule at bottom of page.

UMPIRING 101 – We have taught this class for over 20 years! A detailed introduction to umpiring youth baseball & softball. 3 separate sessions of classroom, video play review & on-field practice will prepare you with rule & positioning knowledge. Each session covers different topics. Age 13 & older as well as adults of all ages, both male & female are welcome to attend. Umpires are paid, set their own schedule & we supply equipment. Some of our class "graduates" continue on to umpire high school and even college level. If you have the interest, we can help you advance.

New umpires attending the 101 Class are required to attend all 3 sessions.

Returning umpires must attend the 101 session, but are welcome and encouraged to retake the first two sessions for review.

UMPIRING 201-  For umpires with at least one full year experience. We cover balks and go deeper into selected rules. This class is for umpires who want to advance to older levels of play. (Bronco, Pony, Colt, etc).

Handouts for note taking will be distributed...YOU NEED TO BRING A PEN.

Class 100 & 101 attendees should bring a jacket as we will spend some time on-field.

Email your desire to attend...so we have enough chairs & handouts.
